OCPP 2.1 is spec-final but hardware certification still rolling. Most 2024 DC chargers ship 2.0.1 with a 2.1 firmware upgrade path. Full V2G requires ISO 15118-20 at the vehicle layer — both must be present.

Mandatory mutual TLS
Security Profile 3 required — no downgrade to Basic Auth permitted.
ISO 15118-20 PKI
Bidirectional V2G requires full chain: V2G Root CA → CPO Sub-CA → CP leaf certificate.
OCSP stapling
