Why this standard matters

Type 2 (Mennekes) is the most widely adopted AC charging connector in Europe and the upper section of CCS2. Mandated on all European EVs since 2014 via EU AFID, it supports single and three-phase AC charging up to 43.4 kW, while enabling backward compatibility between AC and CCS2 DC infrastructure.
