Migration intelligence
ISO 15118-2 → ISO 15118-20
ISO 15118-2 is the current PnC baseline. ISO 15118-20 (2022) adds AC PnC and full bidirectional V2G. Migration requires hardware updates — most chargers ship -2 with -20 firmware upgrade path. V2G mandates both -20 at vehicle and OCPP 2.1 at management layer.
Security layer
TLS 1.2 mandatory
All V2G communication over TLS 1.2. Cipher suite negotiated during SupportedAppProtocol exchange.
Contract certificates
EV holds Operator Certificate issued by OEM Provisioning Service. Signed by V2G Root CA chain.
V2G Root CA
Hubject maintains V2G Root CA for EU PnC ecosystem. Cross-certified with OEM and CPO Sub-CAs.
Certificate lifecycle
Contract certificates valid 2–5 years. Re-provisioning via CSMS / OEM backend over OCPP 2.0.1.
